Join in PCORI’s 4th Annual Meeting

Want to be inspired with insights and new ideas for bringing evidence-based, patient-centered research to life? Look no further than PCORI’s 4th Annual Meeting, which runs from October 31 through November 2 in Washington, D.C. This year’s event, “From Evidence to Impact: Putting What Works into Action,” will spotlight results from dozens of PCORI-funded studies and explore opportunities to use this evidence in ways that patients and other healthcare stakeholders find most useful.

Fifteen posters on networks within PCORnet and studies being conducted using its resources will highlight some of the achievements we’ve made. In addition, Kathleen McTeague and Neely Williams, Co-Principal Investigators for the PCORnet Bariatric Study, will discuss the study’s findings in a session on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Registration is free to attend all sessions at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.  Live webcasts of all plenary and breakout sessions will enable those who can’t attend in person to follow the presentations and discussions.

Those who attend will enjoy dynamic discussions and workshops on PCORI’s efforts to provide evidence that helps people make more-informed healthcare decisions. Plenary and breakout sessions focus on such topics as:

  • How evidence can better answer practical healthcare questions
  • Making health care more efficient, effective, and patient centered
  • How to improve healthcare decision making
  • Addressing the opioid epidemic and improving pain management
  • How telehealth and community health workers affect care delivery and outcomes
  • The impact of engagement on research
  • How to improve care for people with advanced illness and serious mental illness
